Nanahemaa Adwoa Awindor, veteran media personality and host of “Greetings from Abroad,” has expressed gratitude to High-life music master Kojo Antwi for letting her to utilize his song “Dadie Anoma” as the show’s characteristic melody.
Nanahemaa Awindor said that famous Kojo Antwi never charged her for utilizing his song as the show’s opening number.
The opening music for “Greetings from Abroad” has been Kojo Antwi’s song “Dadie Anoma” since the program’s debut in 2008.
On Joy TV, she said that Kojo Antwi had just granted her permission to use the song.
“Kojo was ok. We did a Ghanaian picnic in New York and Jersey City, and Kojo was at that event. So he played “Dadie Anoma,” and I said this is the signature tune for what we’re doing. So I explained to him that we were doing this program and would he mind if I used it as a signature tune because it’s apt, and he said he doesn’t mind, so we started using it.”
“He hasn’t charged me a penny up until now,” she said.
She claims that the song is the ideal trademark track since it most closely relates to the show’s themes.
Nanahemaa Awindor has visited and left several foreign nations as a result of her show.
