The suspect in Meek Mill’s phone theft has been given GH50,000 bail.

Nuhu Sule, the 33-year-old scrap trader arrested for allegedly stealing US rapper Meek Mill’s phone, has been granted bail in the amount of GHC15,000 with two sureties by an Accra Circuit Court.

The accused, Nuhu Sule, is on trial for theft in a courtroom presided over by Samuel Bright Acquah.
The sureties must be public servants, according to the bail requirements.

He’ll be back on February 6, 2023.

Meek Mill

Sule was captured on Friday, December 30, 2022, at his Accra hideout, a day after Meek Mill tweeted that he had been robbed off his phone.

Meek Mill was in the country for a few days to perform at the Afro Nation Festival.

The Grammy-nominated rapper revealed a day or two after his arrival that he had been pickpocketed off his phone.

“They stole my phoneee Bring that Jawn back if you have it!”
Meek posted on Instagram.

Meek’s tweet drew a lot of attention on social media, and the Ghana Police Department went to work to help uncover the perpetrator.

Within 24 hours, Meek’s phone was located and returned to him, and the culprit was apprehended.
