D-Black, the CEO of Black Avenue Music and a rapper, has criticized the plight of the country’s economy while apologizing for his support for the current Akufo-Addo regime.
He claims that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta of Ghana’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) deceived the public by making misleading remarks.
He’s referring to a moment in 2017 when the government stated that some taxes will be eliminated to assist individuals and companies. D-Black applauded them at the time for lowering and eliminating taxes, such as those on spare parts, raw materials, and gasoline.
D-Black, on the other hand, returned to that old tweet on August 18, 2023, and expressed his dissatisfaction.
He wrote, “Man, they fooled all of us with this. I wasn’t the only one they fooled.”
D-Black claimed that the government’s pledges to lower and eliminate taxes in 2017 duped him and others. He is disappointed and believes they were duped.
D- Black responded to supporters’ concerns that he had been mute about the country’s present predica
“Never quiet. We in a big mess right now . And we gotta rise to make a change . Or make we move go kenya ?” he called.
D-Black joins a long line of celebrities who have expressed sorrow for openly supporting the current administration owing to financial difficulties.
Earlier, actor Prince David Osei criticized the exorbitant expense of living in the nation on Twitter, three years after openly expressing his support for the NPP party.
