Kwaku Sintim-Misa, called KSM, a television personality, has urged Ghanaians to celebrate people while they are still living rather of waiting till they die.
KSM stated in a tweet that it is critical to show concern and honor the living for their accomplishments in order to make them feel unique.
His post follows the outpouring of compassion that received Ghanaian footballer Christian Astu after it was revealed that he was a victim of Turkey’s recent earthquake.
He stated, “Ei Ghanafour, can you see how much LOVE, SYMPATHY, and PRAISE we showered on Christian Atsu when we thought he was dead?
Can we recognize and appreciate “little” people while they are still alive?
Baby Jet and a slew of others are on my mind as I #celebratetheliving.”
Ghanaian player Christian Atsu, a former Chelsea and Newcastle attacker, was thought to be trapped under rubble after the strong earthquake on February 5, 2023.
When the 7.7 magnitude earthquake shook the region on Monday morning, Atsu was in an 11-story building.
He was later discovered and sent to a hospital that day.
“We’ve received word that Christian Atsu has been successfully pulled from the rubble of the collapsed building and is being treated.
Let us keep praying for Christian “According to the Ghana Football Association.
Team doctor Gurbey Kahveci, however, has since stated that the club has yet to locate the 31-year-old.
“When we learned he was brought to Dortyol Hospital, we went out of our way to check for him,” Kahveci told reporters.
“For the time being, we accept that [sporting director] Savut Taner and Christian Atsu were not found.”
Mubarak Wakaso, Atsu’s international teammate, has also verified that he has not heard from him.
“Following yesterday’s news from the club that Christian was brought out alive, we are still waiting to confirm Christian’s whereabouts,” Wakaso posted on Instagram.
According to the latest reports, the footballer’s whereabouts are unknown, with Ghana’s Ambassador to Turkey confirming this on Wednesday.
