Amerado joins the University of Ghana.

Amerado Burner, a Ghanaian rapper, is now a student at Ghana’s best university, the University of Ghana, Legon. On Monday, January 1, 2023, the 2022 3Music Awards Rapper of the Year revealed his enrollment as a first-year student on his Twitter page.
He did not, however, reveal any other information regarding his new scholarly endeavor.

Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, better known by his stage name Amerado, is a Ghanaian rapper from Kumasi who rose to prominence in Ghana for his rap songs in 2018.He began his career after being found by Azee Ntwene in 2015, when he finished third at the Solid FM Freestyle Show to join fellow rapper Strongman Burner at MicBurnerz Music.

He was invited to perform on the GH Youth All-Stars, hosted by Mix Master Garzy, to compose the official peace song for Ghana’s 2016 general elections.

In November 2017, he released Rapmare, his first EP on the MicBurnerz Music label.
He was invited up later in 2018 to feature on the most talked about hip hop song ‘Biibi Ba’ by Sarkodie.

The song was nominated for Best Hiphop Song and Best Edited Video at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Amerdo’s studio album, GINA, was released in late 2022.
Prior to the album, he released the Patience EP.
