On Tuesday, January 31, the Comedian revealed the death of his mother, Rebecca Opong, on Twitter.
He wrote, “Lost my wonderful mum….Mama, rest in peace.”
His mother was a well-known character who appeared in his amusing sketches.
Blue Film, the comedian’s first feature film, featured his parents as his character’s parents. SDK Dele’s mother has been ill for quite some time.
In an interview with Delay, the comedian revealed that his mother was suffering from a stroke and that he was thankful that his father died because both parents couldn’t have been unwell at the same time.
SDK Dele’s mother has been in the spotlight for some time now, appearing in her son’s skits.
Following the comedian’s statement, followers and friends on social media sent their sympathies to him.
