Uncle Ebo Whyte, a renowned dramatist and acknowledged relationship guru, has disputed the widely held belief that males are the dominating party in sexual relationships.
According to Uncle Ebo, women have the power and authority in intimate situations.
In a recent interview with Giovanni Caleb, he warned guys not to brag about sex because they are not successful in intimate relationships.
“When a man sleeps with a woman, he tells his friends, ‘Oh, I finish am. But if you know who finished who, you will stop. You will not talk.”
“In any sexual encounter. The winner is not the man. It’s the woman. The man, all you did was you gave your energy, you gave your reputation, you gave opportunities. You gave all kinds of things,”
He said.
Uncle Ebo advised males to maintain their self-respect and dignity, warning that failing to do so could result in negative consequences from hasty and irresponsible actions.
He emphasised the necessity of self-awareness and making sound decisions to prevent jeopardising one’s principles and integrity.
“When you understand that there’s the need for you to respect yourself, then you understand that this thing can bring you down. It can make you lose your respect and reputation like nothing else. And so be careful.
“An older friend of mine told me this. When you go to the forest and you find a table laid, walk away because you don’t know why the table is there,”
He said.
Uncle Ebo Whyte and his Roverman Production are preparing for a new play called I Want To Feed You.
The play premieres at the National Theatre in Accra on September 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, and 15, 2024.
