In Kumasi, police detain 487 participants in the QNET Ponzi scam.

On Monday, September 2, 2024, the Ghana Police Service detained 487 people in Kumasi, the Ashanti Region, during an intelligence-led operation. The accused are associated with the Ponzi scam known as QNET.
The suspects, who were divided into 230 men and 257 women, were taken into custody at a home in the Kumasi suburb of Adwuman, close to Kenyasi.
According to preliminary investigations, the suspects were able to successfully lure in unwary individuals from different regions of the nation with the promise of profitable returns on their investments.


Documents containing the QNET insignia and other papers for registration are among the exhibits that were taken from them.
Gyereh Evelyn, Francis Kpesah, Samuel Musah, Simon Yakubu, Thomas Kotual, Kwasi Nyabi, Benjamin Nsigma, Elijah Musah, Moses Katu, John Balabon Tagnakibi, James Nogma, and Fidelis Bang-ib are among the twelve detained individuals who have been identified as scheme executives.
They are being held by the police and helping with the investigation.
“We would like to take this opportunity to urge the public to be wary of such schemes and report such activities to the Police,” the Police said in a statement.
