Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has declared that Ghana is not immune to global economic distress.
Dr. Bawumia believes that the current economic issues are a worldwide phenomenon, and Ghana is no exception.
During a meeting with clergy in the Central Region as part of his campaign tour, Dr. Bawumia told Ghanaians that the government is working hard to ease their challenges.
“It is pretty evident that the cost of living has risen around the world. Even when I was in Canada a few weeks ago, I heard identical complaints.
“There has been a major increase in the cost of living, and global inflation has increased fivefold, so there is a problem.”
