Following his unfortunate death, the bereaved family of late Nollywood actor John Odonwodo, well known as Junior Pope, has revealed the specifics of his funeral plans.
Earlier last month, on a movie set, Junior Pope had a devastating boat accident that ended his life. The 43-year-old actor’s funeral began on April 23 at the Saint John-Mary Vianney Parish in Asaba, Delta State, with a requiem mass.
Another requiem liturgy is set for May 13 at the Christ the King Catholic Parish in G.R.A., Enugu, to honor the actor’s precious memory. Family members will have the chance to say goodbye and pay their respects on this sorrowful occasion.
To commemorate Junior Pope’s life and legacy, friends, family, and supporters will assemble at the Amadeo Ceremony Center in Enugu on May 14. Heartfelt tributes and a candlelight ceremony honoring his significant influence on those around him will mark the occasion.
On May 16, the community will gather to mourn the loss of one of their own at a wake in his village of Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, in Nsukka, Igboetiti LGA of Enugu State.
The last rites of passage are set to take place on May 17 at St. Peter’s Parish, Ukehe, after the funeral liturgy. With the affection and memories of his family and community surrounding him, Junior Pope will be laid to rest in the reassuring embrace of his native land.
On Sunday, May 19, in St. Peter’s Parish Ukche Nsukka, Igboetiti LGA, Enugu, there will be a final Thanksgiving mass.
Family members will be expressing their thanks for Junior Pope’s life and the enduring influence he left behind at this service, which will also function as a moment of reflection.
