Afua Asantewaa has clarified her previous remarks regarding a Ghana Cedi data bundle, claiming that her
remarks were misinterpreted and meant to be interpreted as a campaign of cyberbullying.
She claimed that her remark was just an incorrectly designed cyberbullying campaign.
Afua recently expressed the opinion that some users of social media lack proper communication skills and become targets of jeers from the public.
As she wrote
“Too many people expose their ignorance on social media. They comment anyhow with 1gh data and DM [direct message] or meet you in person begging for money or [a] job.
“Luck [lack] of knowledge, many shall perish. They don’t know their contact or email used to register their ghost can easily be tracked,” she said
But she urged her fans to rise above the hurtful remarks others make about them online simply for being who they are.“Some people on social media are intimidated anytime they see you on their timelines or FYP [For You Page], the tourism ambassador said, adding that “they don’t know you from anywhere and might not have an acquaintance with you, they just hate you and would say you post [yourself] too much.”Afua clarified in a live interview with Pulse Ghana that she did not mean to disparage her supporters and that she is grateful to everyone who has stood by her despite criticism for her remarks.
