On Saturday, November 18, 2023, a 250-acre farm in Hain, Jirapa Municipality, was devastated by wildfire.
Photos of the devastation show a never-ending stretch of maize sticks devoid of cobs and a mass of burned cobs on one side of the field.
Balaara and Sons, the owners, are currently calculating the monetary worth of the loss.
Wildfires are a typical occurrence this time of year, prompting some chiefs in Northern Ghana to forbid any activity that results in the burning of bushes.
