Mr Ibu, a popular Nollywood actor, is said to have had one of his legs amputated because to health issues.The Nollywood actor has been in the headlines recently when it was revealed that he was suffering from life-threatening health issues. The actor and his family acknowledged the news while raising donations to save Mr Ibu’s life.
In a video posted on social media, the actor stated that he needed prayers and financial assistance from the public since physicians have advised him that he requires quick treatment or risk losing his limb.Fellow Nollywood actors, celebrities, and fans showed up and donated to the actor’s cause. As a result, Mr Ibu was transported outside of Nigeria for treatment, but according to an update, he has still lost one leg.Mr Ibu’s daughter, Jasmine, verified the tragic news of his amputation to GuardianLifeNG.
“As of 1PM, noon today, Daddy had undergone 7 successful surgeries, but one of his legs had to be amputated to keep him alive and increase his chances of recovery.” This development has been difficult for all of us, but we’ve had to accept it as Daddy’s new reality in order to keep him alive,” she was quoted as saying by the news portal.
She further stated that the family is still looking for financial assistance to care for the iconic Nollywood actor. Fans and acquaintances of the star have subsequently expressed their condolences.
