Adjetey Anang, an actor, has urged Yvonne Nelson to be resilient in the face of disparaging comments and to remain committed to her school and the goal of improved education for children.
During his appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz, he underlined the necessity of Yvonne not reacting quickly to harsh words, since doing so may be harmful to her.
“I just encouraged her that as much as possible, she should try to be insensitive to the comments,” shared Adjetey Anang. “Some people are saying all sorts of things, so paying attention won’t help.”
He added, “Her focus should be on her kindergarten, which should bring her joy. I encouraged her to avoid engaging in responses because, at one point, I did the same and it landed me in trouble.”
On June 18, 2023, Yvonne Nelson released a memoir titled ‘I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,’ where she discussed her meeting with Sarkodie and her hunt for her father. She said how she opted to abort her pregnancy since Sarkodie was against it, and expressed her desire to save the kid the agony of growing up without a father.
In reaction, Sarkodie published a song in which he stated that Yvonne should not depict him as the sole proponent of abortion because she herself rejected the concept of his doctor attending to her. Instead, she went with a doctor recommended by a friend, believing that he was the best option.
Adjetey Anang underlined the importance of sensitivity, saying, “It’s very difficult for me as two people I admire in many ways clash. I cannot condemn or judge anyone. I only hope for healing and that we won’t dwell on the negativity surrounding this situation. We are not in their shoes, and we can only comment on what we have heard.”
“I Am Not Yvonne Nelson”is a captivating and dramatic narrative of a young woman who sets out to discover herself but discovers she has been living under a fake identity.
