Nollywood producer and actress Ini Edo has debunked the myth that she is a feminist.Following her portrayal and story in Edo’s current Netflix series, some people believe the ‘Shanty Town’ co-producer is a feminist.However, in an interview with the podcast ‘Tea With Tay,’ the actress clarified these beliefs.
According to Edo, she believes that gender equality is fundamental and that women’s rights should be protected.

“I’m not a feminist; feminism means different things to different people; I love to safeguard women’s rights and I feel the need for equality,” she says.

Nonetheless, she was raised in a way that appreciated men, in her words.

She went on to say, “But I’m also extremely structured, and I was raised in a particular manner, to respect and value males.
I want to be a lady, but I also want to be a queen; you can be a king, and I am a queen; I am really at ease as a queen.”
