Netizens are not happy with BBNaija’s Nengi for admitting to having OCD.
The reality personality claimed on Twitter that her OCD has caused her to get up at 3 a.m. to clean her kitchen.
“My ocd got me cleaning my kitchen at 3 a.m. smh,” she tweeted.
According to Mayoclinic, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is characterized by a pattern of unwanted thoughts and anxieties (obsessions) that cause you to engage in repetitive behaviors (compulsions).
These obsessions and compulsions disrupt daily life and cause severe distress.
Many Nigerians who saw Nengi on BBNaija dragged her after the disclosure.
They noticed that Nengi was uninterested in cleaning the house throughout her time on the reality show and didn’t care if it was messy.
“We didn’t see this OCD element of you in BBN tho, or it’s a recent development,” one Lily wrote of Nengi.
“When will people know OCD is more than being incredibly clean,” remarked another user, Charles.
It’s far more than that.”
“You were bored, the kitchen was messy, and you chose to clean,” Trisha wrote.
That is not OCD, Madam.
Furthermore, OCD is more concerned with extreme orderliness than with cleaning.
It is a disease.”
“If you had OCD (the aversion to dirt variety), you wouldn’t have left your kitchen in an untidy state after use,” a certain Viveeen wrote.
You would have been cleaning up while using.
Perhaps you believe it’s a fantastic term.”
