AMG Beyond Control’s rapper, Medikal, has been controlled on Twitter for what can be described as his stubbornness.
The ‘Stubborn Academy’ rapper responded to Nana Addo’s viral’sika mp3 dede’ comment with a rap freestyle. After releasing the song, Medikal, who boasts about being a wealthy artist, took to Twitter to promote it.
Unfortunately, his verified Twitter account has been suspended on the blue bird app as a result.
Medikal has been barred from using the social media platform for impersonating Ghana’s current president, H.E William Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, whom Yvonne Nelson has dubbed the “hardened-hearted Pharoah” of today.
The suspension comes just days after Elon Musk, Twitter’s new owner, warned users of the ‘freed’ but seemingly caged bird app to stop impersonating famous people on his platform.
“Going forward, any Twitter handles engaging in impersonation without clearly specifying “parody” will be permanently suspended. Previously, we issued a warning before suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning.
This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue. Any name change at all will cause temporary loss of verified checkmark,” Elon Musk tweeted.
Medikal changed his Twitter profile AVI to a photo of H.E Nana Addo in an attempt to draw attention to his ‘Sika Mp3 Dede’ track. He also renamed himself “Mr President.”
A Twitter user reported his account to Elon Musk for impersonating Ghana’s President, and his account was suspended a few minutes later. See the screenshots of the actions shared by Ghanaian blogger @SikaOfficial1 below.
