After two years of marriage to Dan Jewett, the second husband of Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon, MacKenzie Scott has filed for divorce.
According to the New York Times, millionaire philanthropist Scott filed for divorce on Monday in Washington State’s King County Superior Court, according to Page Six.
The report states that Jewett, a high school science teacher, did not object to the divorce and that a prenuptial agreement had already been used to divide the couple’s assets.
In March 2021, Jewett and Scott exchanged vows.
The science teacher’s name abruptly vanished from Scott’s philanthropic donations, which is how the public first learned about their marital issues.After 25 years of marriage, she and Jeff Bezos announced their separation three years before to Scott’s divorce,Scott shares four children with Bezos.
