On Friday afternoon, armed robbers stormed a Forex bureau in Abeka Lapaz, Accra.
The two suspects reportedly entered the Forex Bureau near Las Palmas and asked that all available cash be handed up.
As the crime took place, several witnesses outside managed to shut the entry, locking the criminals and staff inside.
When the police came, they discovered the bureau secure, with both the thieves and the staff thought to be still inside.
According to an eyewitness who spoke with Channel One News, the burglars disappeared when police pushed their way inside the building, which is currently being guarded.
A staff member, commenting on the condition of anonymity, confirmed to Channel One News that the bureau will issue an official statement with further information regarding the event.
