The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has underlined the importance of the free senior high school program and highlighted its advantages for Ghanaians.
Dr. Bawumia visited the Bono East Region on Tuesday as part of his “It Is Possible” campaign, interacting with leaders, stakeholders, and locals to win support for the general elections in 2024.
Dr. Bawumia bragged about the NPP government’s effective execution of the free senior high school policy during his campaign. He pointed out that the policy has helped a lot of Ghanaians and the NPP ought to be commended for taking the lead.
“We promised to implement free SHS, and we delivered despite objection from John Mahama. The beauty is that many have benefitted.”
Dr. Bawumia visited the constituencies of Mpraeso and Abetifi as part of his campaign’s continuation in the Eastern Region.
The paramount chiefs of Mpraeso commended Dr. Bawumia’s leadership and urged Ghanaians to reject the accusation of “liar” made against him by opposition figures.
They mentioned Ghana’s placement among the top three nations in the globe in a number of categories as evidence of his contributions to the country’s advancement.
“Many are quick to label Dr Bawumia as a liar. However, all his pronouncements are good, he’s a good leader. Due to his efforts, Ghana is now ranked among the top three in the world in a number of areas.”
