NDC alerts Ghanaians to the “Bold Confusion” in the NPP’s 2024 agenda.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has advised Ghanaians to critically examine the promises made in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) platform and to avoid being influenced by it.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP, promised Ghanaians that the party would find daring and creative ways to address the urgent problems facing the country on Sunday during the policy document’s introduction.

He outlined new policies intended to alleviate the plight of Ghanaians and emphasized a number of important efforts that his administration had previously put into place.

But the NDC disapproved of the NPP’s manifesto, calling it unclear and unoriginal.

Elikem Kotoko, the party’s deputy national organizer, called the initiatives “bold confusion” and contended that the NPP’s promises are just repeated concepts devoid of specific analysis.

Kotoko especially questioned the viability of the NPP’s promise to lower Ghanaian levies to levels lower than those in Togo, questioning the viability of such a claim in the absence of a full investigation.

He reminded Ghanaians to carefully consider the NPP’s manifesto before accepting its guarantees, stressing that the NDC is committed to providing meaningful answers rather than meaningless platitudes.

“There’s nothing new from what they did if you listened to them carefully. They just revisited a few of the promises they made to Ghanaians, they have built an Airport for you in Cape Coast, and we are doing this and that.

“Duties in Ghana should be cheaper than in Togo, you’ve not told us the analysis you’ve done to say so, Togo has a free port and you’re not the same as them.”

“There’s no proper cogent thing said. You can’t say you’ll make duty cheaper in Ghana compared to Togo and that’s it, what exactly, we need to know what cogent solutions they really have. Instead of bold solutions, it turned out to be bold confusion.”
