Sylvester Sarpong Sorprano has been angrily denied by the Convention People’s Party (CPP) as their Director of Communication.
According to the CPP’s present leadership, Soprano is not authorized to speak on the party’s behalf.
In response to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s apologies for his remarks on Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Sorprano issued a statement in which it appreciated the apology and extended an invitation to media for a news conference.
Nonetheless, the CPP pleaded with the public to reject any invites they may get from him in the party’s name in a statement that was signed by Deputy Secretary Joyce Larbie.
The CPP further called on journalists to disassociate themselves from any media engagement with him regarding the CPP party
“The Convention People’s Party (CPP) write to inform your firm that the party’s current administration has not appointed Sylvester Sarpong Soprano as the Director of Communication and has not been authorised to speak on behalf of the party as such.
“We entreat you to disregard any invitation coming from him in the name of the party and further
disassociate any media engagement with him in respect of the CPP party.”
