Rodney Nkrumah: “Dumsor” timetable interview cannot define NAPO.

2 Min Read

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh’s (NAPO) press secretary, Rodney Nkrumah Boateng, has vehemently defended his boss’s moral character after the latter faced criticism for his casual answer to a query regarding the “Dumsor” schedule.
When he mockingly advised media that those who were requesting a load-shedding schedule during the height of the power outages should create their own, NAPO suffered severe blowback a few months ago.
Rodney Nkrumah Boateng stated that NAPO’s value and potential as Dr. Bawumia’s running mate cannot be assessed based on a single media interview during an interview with Bernard Avle on The Point of View on Channel One TV. He emphasized that NAPO’s qualifications and strengths extend far beyond that one interaction.
While acknowledging that nobody likes to live without electricity, he gave his word that all essential measures had been done to solve the “Dumsor” problem and guarantee a steady supply of electricity.

In order to demonstrate the progress made in resolving the issue, Mr. Nkrumah Boateng emphasized that the current power outages are significantly less severe and frequent than those that happened during the Mahama administration.
“Clearly, what pertained recently cannot by any stretch of the imagination be compared to what happened in 2014 or 2015 there about. But again. The important thing is, it is what it is, and what is being done about it and it is what the timelines are and how to ensure that power is brought back.
“Nobody enjoys power cuts, what happened happened, and those discussions have been had. And even before those discussions, people have said whatever they have to say.
“You cannot define him by just one single interview and one sentence that he said, that is blatantly pretty unfair…the important thing is that, well, fortunately now we are way past all that, and we’re looking forward to what lies ahead, and then we take it from there,”
