The National Service Scheme (NSS) has cleared April arrears following a strike declaration by scheme personnel.
The Concerned National Service Scheme (NSS) Personnel Association of Ghana (CONSPAG) has declared a statewide strike on July 3, 2024, claiming unpaid allowances that are harming their livelihoods.
However, in a timely response, the National Executive Council of the National Service Personnel Association said in a statement on Wednesday, July 3, that the Secretariat has released payment for April, which is scheduled to be reflected in personnel accounts on July 5, 2024.
May allowances are likewise scheduled to be distributed shortly after the April fund is reflected. Personnel have been encouraged to remain calm while unresolved issues are rectified.
