The New Force Movement’s founder and leader, Nana Kwame Bediako, commonly known as Cheddar, has emphasized how water bodies may improve people’s lives all throughout the world.

During his campaign tour, Cheddar promised to dredge the sea to the landlocked city of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region in order to spur industry. This pledge drew criticism.

The independent presidential candidate restated his devotion to his vision of dredging the sea to the Ashanti Region in an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Face to Face on Citi TV. He asserted that this vision can be realized if he is elected.

Speaking of the sea arriving in Kumasi and everything else, I believe that many people in this nation have traveled. The youth make up the majority of our population, thus I believe they are also enlightened to see. Every one of the 50 best citizens in the world today is built around water, so if you select them and click on each one, you’ll see why. Everywhere there is water: Miami, Los Angeles, Dubai, London, New York, England. Water provides irrigation, life, and many other benefits.

“The sea connects the world and is used for transportation, which is one of the reasons it is necessary. The regions are connected by rivers and lagoons, so you can dredge them as you would with English canals and ferries, which create linkages within the communities and spur growth in these places. Tamale, that weather will stop if we can link any of the bodies of water.

He said, “There’s River Pra goes to the sea in Cape Coast and goes all the way to Kumasi,” explaining his vision. The River Tano extends to Takoradi, Elubo, in its entirety. There is a sea and a large dredge in the Ivory Coast; the water was brought into a river body and is in the in the city’s center. These possibilities exist everywhere in the planet.

It will take Ghanaians a century to stop worrying about what to do with their water, according to the largest vision I have for this country. We must unlock the waterways and use our water for farming and transit.

When asked if he had promised to dredge the sea to Kumasi, he said, “Yes, I did.”

When you make choices like this, others have the right to characterize, criticize, and discourage you. The only thing that bothers me about those who claim that is that they should be smart enough to outperform others they are attempting to undermine.
