Zack Orji has thanked everyone who assisted him in recovering.
He revealed in a recent interview with Channels Television that he collapsed at his house and was not awake for almost five hours before someone came to his aid.
“I’m visiting my doctor, Doctor John, here in the UK. In Nigeria, I underwent two brain surgeries after collapsing in the restroom. I passed out, so the only thing I can say is that I’m only alive today by God’s mercy. Before help arrived, I was unconscious for around five and a half hours,” he remarked.
He narrated how he was found on the ground by his friend and subsequently rushed to the hospital after slumping two times.
“My friend Ahmed was in the UK at the time and the people in the house called him to say that they had been knocking on my door since morning and had not been receiving any response. So he called another colleague, Benedict Johnson who rushed to the house and there I was on the floor incoherent. I couldn’t even stand because when he raised me, I slumped again,”
The actor stated.
The actor also disclosed that he was now unable to identify the first lady, the minister of women’s affairs, and other well-wishers who paid him a visit at the hospital.”My wife informed me who had arrived because I was unable to recognise anyone before to the procedure, even when we were conversing. But I could recognise people right away after the surgery,” he claimed.
Orji disclosed that the initial surgical procedure was necessary because the blood clots were not completely removed.
On the first of January, the first surgery was carried out you can see the mark here. I kept going for different kinds of scans for about a month thereafter and when I went for another scan and they discovered that they were still some residue of a blood clot in my brain. So they had to do a second surgery by the same doctor and they were able to scoop out all the blood clots,” he revealed.
