The celebrated rapper Sarkodie has urged Ghanaians to persevere in their pursuit of success in spite of the formidable obstacles they encounter. In a Facebook celebration of his 14 years in the business, the “Countryside” hitmaker challenged up-and-coming artists to imitate his fortitude and tenacity.The rapper posted a little documentary about his experience, saying it should be “a beacon of inspiration for you [youth] to keep pushing forward.”“From 2010 to now, the journey has been a testament to consistency and resilience… The grind never stops. Greatness awaits!” Sarkodie wrote Recall that Sarkodie just released the song “Otan,” which discussed his unwavering perseverance and accomplishment of excellence in spite of the many difficulties he has encountered in the past.
At the Ghana Music Awards this year, Sarkodie is up for eight nominations, including one for artist of the year, a title the rapper has already taken home twice, in 2010 and 2013.
With his numerous BET and other African accolades, Sarkodie has established himself as one of Africa’s finest rappers throughout the years.
