Albert Nat Hyde, also known online as Bongo Ideas, has revealed information on his alleged March 14, 2024, kidnapping and torture.
There have been reports circulating that Hyde’s social media post led to his capture by police officers.
The reasons behind his detention remain unclear, since both the Police and National Security denied any role in it.
Following several days of uncertainty, Bongo Ideas made his way back home, allegedly in a seriously compromised state.
In his first interview since being freed, Bongo Ideas discussed his terrifying experience with German television DW Africa, blaming it on people he said were impersonating law police.
He described the horrifying experience:

“In the early hours of March 14, 2024, around 3:am, individuals pretending to be policemen forcibly entered my residence and forcefully removed me. They threatened me with firearms, putting my life at risk, and subjected me to physical assault, all while cautioning me against speaking out against the President.”

Social media users’ responses to his disclosure were divided; many accused Hyde of instigating these attacks on himself.
