“I have businesses that have employed many Ghanaians and put food on their table and it’s self-gratifying,” Agyapong
Mr. Agyapong explained his decision not to run for vice president by pointing out that he has a tendency to express his opinions, which he feels could be a liability to his boss.
He said quite frankly, “To tell you the truth, I can’t be vice president because I will speak my mind, and am not going to be mate and in Ghana if you speak your mind, you will be branded…”

Assin Central MP Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has made it clear that he has no interest in running with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in the December elections.
Speaking on the KSM Show on Pan African Television in Accra on Friday, February 23, Mr. Agyapong firmly stated that he would prefer to stay back and contribute, but he has no interest in becoming Vice President to Dr. Bawumia. Bawumia has not yet officially announced his running mate.
