The chief of New Akrofuom in the Adansi Asokwa district of the Ashanti Region has been detained by police for allegedly attempting to sodomize a 17-year-old boy.
According to eyewitnesses, the traditional head of the village entered the young boy’s chamber with the goal of indulging in the act with him, but the little boy notified other members of the community.
The chief fled the scene, sensing danger, but people of the town proceeded to his home and attempted to lynch him.
The event occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, October 23.
Police officers eventually arrived to the Chief’s apartment and arrested the culprit.
The event was reported to Citi News by Emmanuel Achirem, assembly member for the New Akrofuom electoral constituency, who also revealed that the chief had previously been accused of similar misbehavior.
