First National Bank (FNB) has given GH30,000 to Citi FM/Citi TV’s relief drive aimed at supporting people and families impacted by the recent flood calamity caused by the Akosombo Dam overflow in a spectacular demonstration of corporate social responsibility and community solidarity.
The Akosombo Dam leakage has caused significant flooding in the surrounding areas, including sections of the Volta Region, displacing many inhabitants and putting them in desperate need of aid.
In response to the catastrophe, Citi TV/Citi FM began a fundraising effort to collect donations and relief supplies for affected people. FNB Bank quickly stepped up to give critical assistance with a considerable donation.

The Bank has also agreed to put up an appropriate assistance package to assist catastrophe victims.
The bank also said that its employees will be joining Citi FM/Citi TV for the contribution on Saturday.
