Kuami Eugene responds to criticism of his wardrobe choices, stating that he has a family to feed.

Kuami Eugene, a popular Ghanaian musician, has responded to criticism of his wardrobe choices, claiming that his impoverished background have defined his values.
In an interview with Naana Donkor Arthur, the musician opened up about his humble beginnings and financial struggles, stating that he grew up in a financially challenged home.

He emphasized that lavishing on expensive designer apparel was never his goal, and he had good reasons for his decisions.
“Growing up, my family faced financial challenges. We didn’t have much, Eugene shared. So, when I found success in the music industry, my priority was not to spend on fancy dresses.”
Eugene revealed that, despite his fame and money, his mother and siblings continued to live in a modest one-bedroom apartment in Fadama. He added that it made it impossible for him to devote significant dollars to luxury clothing.

“I couldn’t justify spending all my hard-earned money on clothes when my family was living in a one-bedroom apartment,” 
Eugene elaborated, Kuami Eugene’s dress choices have been widely critiqued by Ghanaians since he first entered the industry.
