Nollywood Stars Attend Candlelight Service for Late Saint Obi

Three months after his untimely death, a candlelight service was organized in honor of the late Nollywood actor who also worked as a film producer and director, Obinna Nwafo, also known as Saint Obi.
Last Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos State, a solemn gathering of relatives, friends, and loved ones gathered to pay tribute to the late movie icon.
Nollywood figures including as Victor Osuagwu, Charles Okafor, and Emeka Okafor were among those who gathered to mourn the late actor.

Among the celebrities are Rollas, Segun Arinze, and Lilian Bach. During the service, the late Saint Obi’s children read from the Bible, while gospel artist Frank Edwards sang some sorrowful hymns. A brief documentary about the actor was also shown.
Saint Obi, who appeared in films such as Candle Light, Sakobi, Goodbye Tomorrow, Heart of Gold, Festival of Fire, Executive Crime, and Last Party, among others, died on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Jos, Plateau State, at the age of 57. According to reports, the actor died at the house of one of his siblings.
Meanwhile, Saint Obi’s family has stated that his funeral would be held on August 18th.
