I have not abandoned politics – Fred Numah

2 Min Read

Despite withdrawing from the upcoming National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ayawaso West-Wuogon parliamentary primary, Fred Nuamah, actor, producer, entrepreneur, and politician, has expressed his strong desire to pursue his political goals.
In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the actor said that his decision to withdraw from the fight for his actor John Dumelo to fill the position is merely a short step back from frontline political actions.

Nuamah underlined that his resignation was merely a temporary respite from the forefront of political activities, not a full renunciation of his political ambitions.
“While my decision to pull back from the Ayawaso West-Wuogon NDC parliamentary primaries might indicate a temporary break from my political ambitions, it doesn’t necessarily mean that I have given up on politics. No!”
Mr. Nuamah stated that he was ready to serve his party in many ways and that he was confident that the future would take care of itself in light of the decision he had made.

“I will serve my party and Ghanaians in several ways and at different levels. Many people were surprised when Fred Nuamah announced his retirement from the NDC’s Ayawaso West-Wuogon parliamentary election on Monday, August 7, 2023, given his zealous pursuit of the seat earlier this year.
However, the actor has pledged to supporting his friend’s campaign.
“I believe that whatever happened has rather strengthened the bond we share. As I’m speaking to you now, I have already gotten in touch with my brother and I have extended my endorsement and support for his candidacy.”
