President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been referred to as the “most dishonest president in the history of Ghana” by Prince Henry, a member of the National Democratic Congress’s (NDC) communications staff.
His remarks follow the President’s declaration that the government will not be able to finish the Saglemi Housing project that was started by the previous John Mahama administration.

To help Ghana’s housing shortage, the NDC, led by John Mahama, launched the project in 2012.
The project was put on hold when the government admitted that political corruption and poor planning were to blame for the delay in completion.
According to Nana Addo, the Saglemi project was referred to the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Division for investigation, which led to criminal court proceedings.
Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony in Accra on August 1, 2023, for the start of construction of a project to build 8,000 affordable housing units in Pokuase, he said, “We are aware of the delays and setbacks encountered during the execution of this project.”
In a Twitter post, the NDC communicator said “Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is the most dishonest president in the history of Ghana.”
