The prestigious 3Music Awards organizers, 3Music Network, have announced the postponing of this year’s edition via their social media accounts.
This is the first time the ceremony has been rescheduled since it began in 2018. It also deviates from its typical schedule in the first quarter.
“The decision comes in response to the need for securing adequate financial support and sponsorship, thereby upholding the unmatched standard of excellence that has defined the 3Music Awards over the years.” part of the statement reads.

The 3Music Awards have gained widespread acclaim as a premier celebration of musical talent, engaging audiences and fans alike. We feel that extending the event to 2024 will ensure that the 3Music Awards remain an unequaled experience in the industry, as a monument to our continuous dedication to excellence.
“While we acknowledge the disappointment this may bring, we want to assure all our stakeholders-industry partners, sponsors, artists, and fans – that we are actively working behind the scenes to secure the necessary support. We remain dedicated to delivering an unforgettable 3Music Awards 2024, ” as stated by CEO of 3Media Networks, Rashida Yasmine Abdulai.

We appreciate the trust and confidence shown in the 3Music Awards, and as such, we are steadfast in our pursuit of maintaining the best production standards, laying the groundwork for a triumphant return next year. Throughout this time, we will keep all stakeholders informed of our efforts and will communicate any new developments as they occur.
The 3Media Networks team is grateful for the compassion, patience, and ongoing support offered during this difficult period. We will overcome this momentary setback as a team and emerge stronger, delivering an outstanding 3Music Awards experience that honors the finest in our business.”
