AMA will send out a task force to monitor congestion in several markets.

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) claims that there are well-developed preparations to send out a taskforce to reduce traffic caused by street vendors in the nation’s capital’s Central Business Districts (CBD).
The action is in keeping with the Assembly’s attempts to make Accra one of the cleanest cities in Africa and is a part of its mission to improve vehicular and pedestrian circulation on pathways.
The task group will be cycled to prevent familiarity with the dealers, according to Elizabeth Naa Kwatsoe Tawiah Sackey, CEO of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, in a statement to Citi News.

“What we will try to do is to place our taskforce at various places and also get a timeline to rotate them to prevent them from familiarising themselves with the traders.”
