Ras Nene, popularly known as Dr Likee, a Ghanaian actor and prominent YouTube skit producer, has made an unequivocal apology to the management of Achimota Mall following a heated disagreement with the mall’s security crew.
Team Ras Nene apologized to the mall’s management and dedicated supporters for the tragic occurrence, according to an official statement published by his General Manager, Okodie.
The message highlighted their desire to delight Ghanaians while also promoting peace and love in their homeland.
Ras Nene issued the apologies after getting into a fight with the security team at Accra’s Achimota Mall on June 8.
According to accounts, Ras Nene had previously gotten permission to film his comedy at the mall, but was suddenly denied admission by the security crew, resulting in the dispute.
Ras Nene had created an interesting skit for their fans in collaboration with socialite Efia Odo. The skit featured amusing conversations and shopping scenes.
When they arrived at Achimota Mall, however, they were confronted by the security staff, who informed them that filming skits without legal clearance was severely prohibited.
Ras Nene, refusing to back down, aggressively argued his point, citing an incident involving Meek Mill at the Jubilee House, where the American rapper was permitted unrestricted access to take images and films.
During a heated dispute with the security officers, he said that this demonstrated a double standard and defended his rights as a public figure and entertainer.
The Ras Nene incident at Achimota Mall has spurred conversations on social media regarding public space management and how it should be regulated. Users have been participating to the ongoing discourse by expressing their ideas.
