Seun Kuti, the last child of Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has broken his silence.
Kuti, who is known for voicing his opinion without regard for what others think of him, took to Instagram after the 2023 presidential election to offer his thoughts on the recently ended polls.

In the run-up to the elections, the singer engaged into a back-and-forth with Peter Okoye of the PSquare group on worries over who should become president. Seun Kuti brought up the election, saying that Nigerians wanted the “lesser of three evils,” but they got the best.
He also highlighted how Nigerians frequently allow prominent figures to influence their decisions despite the fact that they are just concerned with themselves.

Seun stated, “When you realize that all of your actors, musicians, influencers, comedians, politicians, and business leaders are using your resources and support to become British and American citizens so that their children do not exist alongside yours, you may have enough sense to stop allowing them to direct your life!!!
You desired the lesser of three evils, but you received the best!
May the finest lie triumph!!
Let @mopcentre know who is available for employment.
It begins today!!”

The squabbles between Seun and PeterThe controversy began when Kuti stated that no politician can save Nigeria but Nigerians themselves.
Fela’s son claimed that even if Sowore wins the election, he will be unable to effect meaningful change in a country dominated by the PDP and the APC.

He went on to allege that Peter Obi is an opportunist who joined Labour after losing the PDP primaries.
Okoye, a longtime follower of the Obi movement, was moved by the remark.

“He just deleted his father’s past,” Peter Okoye responded.
You stated that only Nigerians can preserve Nigeria.
Is it true that the PO and the other candidates are not Nigerians?
Shame! Shame! Shame!

He also disparaged Kuti’s music career, labeling him a Grammy nominee who is still struggling.
