Archipalago, a Ghanaian rapper, has sparked outrage online by claiming that the rise of Black Sherif had left all artists in Ghana ineffective.
He claims that Sherif vocalist has outshone everyone in the industry with his distinct style and tone.
Archipalago remarked in an interview with Zion Felix on this Uncut episode that these musicians are struggling to surpass Sherif’s records and streams.
According to Archipalago, any artist who is not signed to a major record label would never reach the top.
He added that the record label Black Sherif works with, “Black Empire,” is one of the major record labels, which explains Black Sherif’s fame and entry into the international market, rendering the other artists ineffective.
With the success of ‘Konongo Zongo,’ he claims that independent artists will struggle to reach the same numbers.Working with record companies, according to Archipalago, is what makes the magic happen.
