Ameyaw Debrah, a celebrity and lifestyle writer, has spoken out about his professional relationship with award-winning dancehall artist Shatta Wale.
In an interview with Hitz FM, Ameyaw Debrah declared unequivocally that he had blacklisted Shatta Wale for seven years and that he was still thriving.
According to Ameyaw Debrah, this started after he posted a tale about Shatta Wale, who was supposed to appear in a show with Samini a few years ago.
Ameyaw Debrah stated that after reporting on the situation, he received a call from Shatta Wale’s camp accusing him of bias toward the ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker.The celebrity blogger went on to say that the conversation finished with Shatta Wale threatening him to cease writing about him if he (Ameyaw Debrah) cherished his life.
Ameyaw Debrah claimed that he was never threatened by anything Shatta Wale said.
“If you value your life, don’t write about me,” Shatta Wale once said.
I then blacklisted him for around 7 years.
I mean, if you don’t write about a specific artist and you still succeed in your business, it means I don’t care about you.
When Shatta Wale warned me that if I love my life, I shouldn’t write about him, I didn’t feel frightened.
Ameyaw Debrah went on to say that he chose to blacklist Shatta Wale from then on. He made the decision to blacklist Shatta Wale and stop blogging about him.
He did, however, add that some of my employees are Shatta Wale supporters and hence write about him.
The blogger further stated that it was never his intention to bring Shatta Wale down.
