Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian dancehall musician, has often chastised the Nigerian music business for failing to reciprocate the affection provided to them by Ghanaians in terms of music promotion and airplay.Shatta Wale slammed Nigerian singers in December 2021 for not supporting Ghanaian musicians in the same way that they support them.
“Learn to say thank you,” he advised Nigerian musicians at the time.
Ghana has always been your entry point.
He is now back to complimenting Nigerians.
The “On God” hitmaker recently praised Nigerians for enacting regulations that have resulted in breakthroughs in music production and artiste development, resulting in amazing collaborations with foreign artists and nominations for major prizes.
In a recent tweet, the dancehall musician urged Ghanaians to avoid squabbling with Nigerians and instead seek advice on how to advance Ghanaian music.
He also stated his desire to be signed to a musical label.
“It’s best we stop arguing with Nigerian fans, promoters, etc and beg for help.
I need a record label.
Ghanaian music is a disgrace, mek nobody lie you, Shouts to Naija, Ghanaians like to talk but do nothing, yep I said it,” he tweeted.
