According to seasoned Ghanaian actress Madam Grace Omaboe, also known as Maame Dokono, her biggest regret in life was divorcing her first husband.
Many people are posting an old video of the actress explaining how she has been married in the past in the hopes that her message will reach and enlighten the general public.
Delay was told by Maame Dokono:“I have been married twice, but I suffered very much during the last one. I always say that if I knew how my second marriage would have turned out, I would have stayed with my first husband,”
According to Maame Dokono, she was compelled to leave a good man because of pressure from her disagreements with her first husband’s family and her ignorance. She said that even though he is married to someone else, they have remained friendly and that he helps her out when she needs it.
Mame Dokono claims that her second husband came with all the frivolous things but mistreated her.
“I always say that if I knew the intricacies of marriage that I know now, I wouldn’t have left him ( her first husband).
“After leaving these two marriages, I want to devote my life to helping underprivileged women and children.”
Maame Dokono also offered counsel to unmarried women worldwide, according to her:
“Be patient and marry a man who will understand you. A man who loves you. Not someone who will use his money and handsomeness to deceive you. Communicate with him so that you can understand each other. Don’t be too proud, time changes. Be humble and find a good man. Good men are scarce, so when you find one, cherish him like an egg.”
Currently known as Graceful Grace School in Accra, the old Peace, and Love Orphanage is run by the Ghanaian actress, singer, television personality, novelist, and former politician.
