The music video for Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy’s track “Whiskey,” which will take the style of a documentary.
Burna Boy’s sixth album, “Love, Damini,” was released in July 2022 and included the single “Whiskey,” in which he called attention to the climate in his hometown of Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
The documentary will focus on how oil extraction has caused the Niger Delta’s ecosystem to deteriorate, with the most recent issue being the region’s pollution problem.
Burna Boy has been a vocal supporter of the Niger Delta’s residents and has used his music to bring attention to the region’s predicament. He included the song “Monsters You Made” from his Grammy-winning album “Twice As Tall” which underlined the militancy brought on by years of neglect and broken promises.
