In a Teshie Magistrate Court, a Nigerian man who is on trial for the murder of a middle-woman named Vivian claimed that he acted in self-defense.
The accused, Daniel Dennis, said that his victim, an alleged sex worker who was killed in cold blood, had her knees broken, and was beheaded, got into a confrontation with him after he tried to stop her from using marijuana in his apartment at Spintex, Accra, during a court hearing on Thursday, December 1.
United Television reported that the 35-year-old accused further stated that the deceased woman was a Nigerian.
As was previously mentioned, the Ghana Police Service arrested the defendant, who is currently on trial, after his landlord found a dismembered body inside his locked room.
According to UTV, Daniel has disputed the earlier claims that the victim was his girlfriend.
Remanding the case until March 30, 2023.
