Jojo Wollacott, the injured Ghana goalkeeper who was not named to Otto Addo’s 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, will join the team’s camp ahead of Ghana’s opening group game against Portugal.
Wollacott is flying to Doha to motivate’ his teammates ahead of the Portugal game, according to the Ghana Football Association.
The Charlton Athletic goalkeeper was influential in qualifying, but a late injury has prevented him from playing in his first World Cup for the Black Stars.
He is scheduled to arrive in Doha on November 22, 2022.
