Daniel Wilson Addo, Managing Director of Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited, was named the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) ‘Marketing Man of the Year 2021’ at the 33rd Annual National Marketing Performance Awards.

Mr. Addo was recognized for his exceptional excellence in strategic marketing in the areas of marketing insights, people management, corporate reputation management, CSR, and sound marketing management.

Furthermore, Abena Osei-Poku, Managing Director of Absa Bank Ghana, was named “Marketing Woman of the Year 2021.”

Daniel Wilson Addo, speaking on behalf of all the awardees, thanked CIMG for the honor.

“We all recognise that this is an era of extreme market turbulence, and all businesses need resilience, creativity and innovation to stay ahead of the competition”.

The awards this year aim to recognize marketing practitioners and organizations that rely on innovative strategies and modern marketing practices to achieve business success.

Dr Daniel Kasser, President of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana, has charged various industry players to rationalize their operations in light of Ghana’s economic challenges.

This, he claims, will help protect the interests of investors, employees, and customers.

He also urged industry leaders to reconsider their business models.
