Victor Osimhen observed in Napoli physical training ahead of Champions League match vs Ajax Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen may be about to return to action for Napoli after a month-long injury layoff.
The 23-year-old hasn’t appeared since being replaced in Napoli’s 4-1 hammering of Liverpool on September 7.
Since then, he has missed six Napoli games as well as the international break, during which Nigeria played two friendly games against Algeria.
Osimhen has returned to training.
A video shared on Napoli’s official Twitter page shows the Napoli players, including Osimhen, working hard in preparation for the game against Ajax.

The Nigerian striker appeared to be in good physical shape, moving and training freely, implying that his thigh injury had healed.
Although the coach is ultimately the only one who can say whether Osimhen will play against Ajax tonight, which is a big likelihood.
Osimhen’s availability is confirmed by Spalletti.
Concerning Osimhen’s rehabilitation, Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti has almost certainly stated that the Nigerian will be eligible for selection against Ajax.
“Victor is key to our team because he’s a top player. He’s training well and he’s ready to play his part,” Spalletti told the club’s website.
The Italian manager went on, “Osimhen must be one of the team’s leaders. We’re fortunate to have three forwards with diverse skill sets who complement one another and provide us with a variety of attacking options.”
That means Osimhen might face his countryman and Super Eagles teammate Calvin Bassey, who will square up with Ajax at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
