After escaping BECE, Obaapa Christy declares, “I will be returning to school.”

Obaapa Christy, a gospel singer from Ghana, admitted that she had to leave school because she was afraid of BECE.
Obaapa Christy claimed that she decided not to take the Basic School Certificate Examination since she knew she would fail it.
The gospel singer said during a Rainbow Radio interview “I know I was not a brilliant student”.The singer claims in the interview that she has learned that education is crucial in any circumstances and that she wouldn’t mind returning to school to further her education.

”However, I have come to discover that education is important. You need a positive mindset to succeed. If I had that positive mindset, I think I would have made it. But it is not too late. I will be going back to school. It is not too late to go back to school,” she said.

“Mathematics was my best subject because God knew I would be wealthy and be counting money,” she said amidst laughter.

Obaapa Christy also thinks that despite not having a college degree, God has used her through her music ministry to touch lives, change homes, and cheer up a lot of people.

“If God had blessed people because of their higher education, I would not be where I am today. God gave me something, and that is what I have done all these years,” she added.The singer from Ghana is commemorating 20 years in the business.
She has therefore expressed her thankfulness to God for getting her this far and thanked her supporters.

The musician also admitted that her strongest courses were mathematics and sketching.
