A two-bedroom home has been given to the woman who starred in the “Me nsa aka ooo” TV commercial that was released 13 years ago to promote MTN’s Mobile Money (MoMo).
Her residence, costing over GH300,000, was given to her by MTN Ghana.
It is situated in Greater Accra’s Doboro district.
The female lead in the first MTN Mobile Money radio and television advertising was Rita Nhyiraba Tetteh.
In the advertisement, she testified that she received the money on her mobile wallet immediately after it was sent and yelled in twi, “me nsa aka oo,” as opposed to another character, who was enquiring as to where the money was, “na sika no wo hen” [Ah! where is the money].
A promise made to Ms. Tetteh two years ago at the MoMo 10th anniversary celebration in 2019 was fulfilled with the construction of the two-bedroom home.
The leadership of MTN Mobile Money Limited presented her with the building’s keys at a gathering hosted on the grounds of the home in Doboro.
MTN Mobile Money Limited’s Chief Executive Officer, Eli Hini, stated that the presentation was a part of the company’s endeavor to recognize and honor all stakeholders who made significant contributions to the MoMo journey.
According to Hini, “Mobile Money decided to honor all stakeholders who played very important parts in the MoMo journey during our 10th-anniversary festivities in light of the success racked up over the years.
